Chinatown is full of good bargains and deals, foods and rich Chinese culture. You will visit the Thien Hou Temple. You will also pass the Moorish-styled Federal Court, the Railway station which is a striking piece of Mohammedan architecture,the Tudor styled Cricket Club and the Kings Palace. Then capture a panoramic view of the city from Signal Hill before proceeding for a city drive by major landmarks such as the State & City Mosque, T.g. Aru Beach and the highest building - Tun Mustapha Tower. | | Day 6 | Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine | Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine (B/L): After breakfast at hotel, you will take a short walk to the jetty for a boat journey to Tunku Abdul Rahman Island Park. Enjoy a day of relaxation under the swaying palms and enjoy snorkeling or swimming in the crystal blue waters. A sumptuous barbecue lunch is served. Return to Hotel | | Day 7 | Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Springs | Kinabalu Park & Poring Hot Springs (B/L): Depart early to Crocker Range where the Majestic Mount Kinabalu resides and continue to Poring Hotsprings. Venture up the canopy walkway, jungle trek to a bat cave or take a hot bath to sooth your muscles. After lunch, visit the Kinabalu Park where you will find the biggest collection of flora and fauna. Join a guided trail walk and visit the Mountain Garden. | | Day 8 | Kuching | Kota Kinabalu - Kuching (B/L/-): Today you will take a flight to Kuching. Transfer to your hotel. Then you will take an half day city tour to get to know the city. The tour includes Kuching's Chinatown, the Cat Statue (Kuching means "Cat" in Malay), the colorful Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple, the Civic Center Viewing Platform and the world famous Sarawak Museum. Across river, visit either the unique Cat Museum or Fort Margherita, passing the magnificent State Mosque and the Astana, the former residence of the White Rajahs. Return via the golden-domed City Mosque and proceed on foot through Old Kuching, visiting the colorful Central Markets and heritage buildings of the White Rajah era, the Pavilion, the Square Tower, the Court House, the Charles Brooke Monument and the Post Office | | Day 9 | Lemanak Longhouse | Kuching - Orang Utan - Lemanak Longhouse (B/L/D): Be driven through lush green countryside dotted with padi fields, pepper gardens and rubber plantations, and flanked by rugged jungle-clad mountains, you will visit a Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. Along the way, you will stop for lunch at a roadside bazaar deep in Iban county. Arrive at Lemanak jetty in the afternoon for a longboat ride up the Lemanak River, passing through typical Borneo countryside with an ancient longhouse tucked behind almost every bend in the river. Arrive at either Serubah or Nanga Kesit Longhouse and visit the "entire village under one roof." Tour the longhouse and enjoy a demonstration of blowpipe shooting | | Day 10 | Kuching | Lemanak - Kuching (B): Enjoy a blowpipe demonstration in the morning (or try shooting one yourself), then take a short walk through the forest accompanied by traditionally-clad Iban trackers, and learn about the traditional uses of rainforest plants in Iban culture. Return to Kuching in the afternoon. | | Day 11 | Singapore | Kuching / Singapore (B): Fly to Singapore. Transfer to your hotel. | | Day 12 | Singapore | Singapore (B): Take a city tour that showcases the history , multi racial culture and lifestyle that is Singapore. See the city's colonial heritage as we drive around the Civic District past the Padang, the Cricket Club, parliament House, Supreme Court and City Hall. Stop at the Merlion Park for great view of Marina Bay and a picture-taking opportunity with the Merlion. A mythological creature that is part lion and part fish. The tour continues with a visit to the Thian Hock Keng Temple, one of the oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples on the island, built with donation from the early immigrant workers from China. Next drive past Chinatown to a local handicraft center to watch Asian craftsmanship. From there we proceed to the National Orchid Garden, located within the Singapore Botanic Garden, which boasts sprawling display of 60,000 orchid plants comprising 400 species and more than 2,000 hybrids. Our final stop at Little India will enthrall you with the scent of joss tocks, jasmine and spices.
